yeah, they may not be telling you the details. but there could be a million reasons for that, and i sincerely doubt that trust is the main one. it took me months to admit to anyone that i really liked this girl i was texting EVERY DAY, and that’s not because i don’t love or trust my friends, it was because i wanted to keep this as my thing and be happy about it, and not have to deal with taking it back if for some reason it stopped. it’s hard on all sides - i wanted my friends to know, but fuck if i was actually gonna tell them lmao
